Obama administration is quite troubled with the increasing military powers of China and its growing influence in the strategically crucial Indian Ocean. The reason behind why China is inclining towards Indian Ocean is that it is serving as an important path for China’s economic growth.
So that is the reason China is seeking friendly ties with all the neighboring countries of India so that no one objects its control over Indian Ocean. Must say Chinese authorities are really cleaver.
And of course when China is heading forward in such a speed it is obvious for the US to get a bit insecure, and they don’t want to fall behind in the Indian Ocean. At present the world power is facing fear of insecurity from rising countries like India and China.
But as India has already entered a friendly tie with the US through the nuclear deal, it is now more concerned with China’s growth. China imported more than 50 per cent of its oil consumption for the first time in the year 2010 and this became possible only because of China’s access to the sea routes of Indian Ocean.
Well friends the twist in the story is, as US fears the rising China, similarly China is concerned about India, not only because of the growth taking place in India but also for the China's oil lifeline. India is already strengthening its Navy powers, and this is the main reason what makes the Chinese fear about the loss they might have to face in their rising market.
On one hand US is seeking a partnership from India as they know China too fears the powers of India while on the other hand Chinese officials too want to keep friendly terms with India.
It would really be interesting to see how India is going to deal with the situations. But one thing that we can be sure of is that if India tries a bit it can certainly lead all other nations and can become the Superpower.
