AMU VC approved amendment to Scholarship provision


The Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Prof. P. K. Abdul Azis has approved the amendment in the Academic Council Regulations pertaining to the Scholarship in the Chapter LXVI Clause 3(i) w.e.f. 21.04.2011.
Prof. V. K. Abdul Jaleel, Registrar said that the amended clause would now read that a meritorious cum-means deserving student may be allowed to draw more than one scholarship tenable during Academic Session; provided that the total amount of award does not exceed Rs. 20,000/- per annum and that other conditions of the scholarships awarded by the outside agencies are also fulfilled. In case of award of University scholarships of fee concessions (full or half freeship) etc. may be ignored provided the total amount does not exceed Rs.20,000/­per annum. Earlier, the ceiling amount was limited to only Rs. 2,000/-.
