Good academic record with a doctoral degree or equivalent
published work. In addition to these, candidates who join from
outside the University system, shall also possess at least 55%
of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale
with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the Master's degree
level.
Five years of experience of teaching and/or research excluding
the period spent for obtaining the research degrees and has made
some mark in the areas of scholarship as evidenced by quality of
publications, contribution to educational innovation, design of
new courses and curricula.

a) A consistantly good acadmic record with a Doctorate in Sunni
Theology.
b) Evidence of being actively engaged in research.

QUALIFICATIONS - ESSENTIAL
Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or, an
equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter
grades O,A,B,C,D,E & F at the Master's degree level, in the
relevant subject from an Indian University, or, an
equivalent degree from a foreign University.
Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates
should have cleared the eligibility test (NET) for
lecturers conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test
accredited by the UGC. However, the candidates having Ph.D.
degree in the concerned subject are exempted NET for PG level
and UG level teaching.
NOTE:
1. A relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to 50% of the
marks at the Master's level for the SC/ST category.
2. A relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to 50% of the
marks to the Ph.D. degree holders who have passed their Master's
degree prior to 19th September, 1991.
3. B in the 7 point scale with letter grade O, A, B, C, D, E &
F shall be regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading
system is followed.
4. A relaxation of the minimum marks at the PG level from 55%
to 50% for appointment as Lecturer may be provided to the
candidates who have cleared the JRF examination conducted
by UGC/CSIR only, prior to 1989, when the minimum marks required
to appear for JRF exam. were 50%.
16. Lecturer in Shia Theology, Dept of Shia Theology (1) VH (B,LV)
QUALIFICATIONS - ESSENTIAL :
(a) A Doctor's degree in Shia Theology or Research work of an
equally high standard and
(b) Good academic record with First or high second class (B
in the seven point scale) Master's degree in the relevant

Madarsa with adequate knowledge of English or an

(Medicine) or M.D. (Paediatrics) with 2 years special training
in Gastroenterology.
TEACHING /RESEARCH EXPERIENCE:
As Reader/Associate Professor in Gastroenterology for four
years in a recognised Medical College /Teaching / Institution.
DESIRABLE : Minimum of four Research publications indexed in
Index Medicus/National Journal and one in International Journal.
As Reader/Associate Professor in Paediatrics for four years in a
recognized medical College.
20. Lecturer in Nephrology, Dept of Medicine (1) OH (OA, OL)
QUALIFICATION : ESSENTIAL

1. Requisite recognised specialisation qualification in the

Registrar for the existing incumbents who are already in the AMU

i. M.A. in History with special knowledge of Medieval Indian
